Jane Dansevich
Jane Dansevich, BSN, MSN, MS has been appointed by the Director of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to the 2007 Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. The Award, created by public law in 1987, is the highest level of national recognition for performance excellence that a U.S. organization can receive. Each year the President of the United States officially presents the award to the recipients.

As an examiner, Ms. Dansevich is responsible for reviewing and evaluation applications submitted for the Award. The board is composed of approximately 500 leading experts selected from manufacturing, service, small business, education and health care organizations.

Those selected meet the highest standards of qualification and peer recognition. All members of the board must take part in a preparation course based on the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence and the scoring evaluation processes for the Baldrige Award. Performance criteria includes: leadership, strategic planning, customer and market focus, measurement, analysis, process management and results.

Ms. Dansevich, a graduate of Carlow finished her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (1991). She went on to obtain her Masters in Professional Leadership (1997) and most recently completed her Masters in Nursing Leadership (2007).

Ms. Dansevich has in-depth experience working in hospitals, home health care organizations and insurance providers. She has experience as a bed side nurse, manager of human resources, organizational development, and as a director of training and development.  As part of an international health care initiative, she traveled through Eastern Europe as a training instructor of health care professionals.

She has developed, designed, and implemented educational seminars in leadership development, organizational change, and total quality management to improve organizational effectiveness. Her areas of expertise include developing health care change models to improve health care delivery through education and training.

Ms. Dansevich has had additional training from the Ritz Carlton Hotel Legendary Service, Toyota Production System, Perfecting Patient Care Systems, and Gallup Satisfaction Surveys.

Ms. Dansevich believes that the key to her success is her education.
