Sports Leadership
Are you a coach at a school or in the community, looking for an advanced degree? Or do you want to begin or advance a career in athletic administration? The PRL sports leadership concentration will help you learn more about how athletic organizations work and grow as well as how to motivate athletes, coaches, and staff. Through this concentration you will learn about sports leadership and ethics, governing bodies, media, community relations, organizational politics and transformation, and the athlete in context (including an exploration of the growth of girls’ and women's sports programs).

CAREER OPTIONS...
This concentration will prepare you for positions such as high school athletic director; college athletic director (or assistant, depending on previous experience); coaching on the high school, club, and college levels. Other opportunities in development, community relations, facilities, personnel, and director-level and other leadership positions within club organizations, regional athletic organizations, community sports organizations, fitness clubs, and amateur sports governing bodies are also possible.
